Our Process
-
Begins with meeting our executive team through an introductory meeting. Project goals are established. Then, budget alignment is tested through a feasibility study or high-level estimate before moving into a formal agreement.
-
Covers all the planning leading up to the start of construction. Our pre-construction team acts as a resource to clients and design professionals by providing constructability feedback, progress estimates, and coordination assistance. As we work in tandem, we lay the groundwork for a smooth and efficient construction project. Our goal is to be brought into the team as early as possible.
-
Focuses on execution. Our process involves schedule management, budget tracking, quality control, and coordination with trusted trade partners, with consistent communication along the way.
-
Ensures the project is complete and supported. Along with commissioning and a structured warranty program, we provide ongoing maintenance and repair support for the life of the home.
FAQs
How much does it cost to build a custom home?
Costs vary with site, architecture, and performance goals. Most of our homes start around $700 per square foot. Because each project is fully custom and site-specific, exact costs are best determined once design is underway.
How long does it take to build a custom home?
Timelines typically range from 18 to 30 months. Site conditions, size, and design complexity all play a role in the schedule.
What fee structure does Risinger Build use?
We work on a cost-plus basis. This allows our clients to see every invoice and receipt, keeps us aligned as advocates for their resources, and ensures fair compensation for skilled trades.
Should a builder or an architect be hired first?
Both are essential, and we encourage collaboration from the start. We’re most effective when engaged early, whether before architect selection or during schematic design, so that design and budget are refined together.
